Windfall Runaway Brides
Windfall Brides is a joint project between the Berkeley Church and Windfall Basics that aims to serve the basic-needs items to those who cannot afford them on their wedding day. Windfall Basics is a charity that acquires new clothing and distributes them to social service agencies for the purposes of alleviating poverty and fostering human dignity.
The role of Bowe was to set up a splash page and mock magazine-style catalog for the services that Windfall Brides was to offer. With a quick brainstorming session and a bit of time at Photoshop we had our mock magazine which consisted of the cover (shown below) and around 25 pages of advertisements and photographs. It was fun meeting with the Windfall Basics ladies and discussing the ideas for the project as well as setting up the web page and catalog.
Tools used for this project include Photoshop for the catalog and its images, and Dreamweaver, CSS and HTML for the splash page.
